The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in power within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as important members in the powerful family could help the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This means them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Questers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
